The Annual BHA Guns & Golf Classic consists of two events - a sporting clay shoot and a golf tournament - and takes place in late September.

Both events benefit the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home (LBCH) in Monroe, Louisiana. Past donations have enabled the LBCH to build a safer, more secure campus for needy mothers and their children, as well as aided LBCH in providing valuable technology and life-skills training for their continued growth.

BHA Tournament BannerThe Brenda Hall Abney Guns & Golf Classic was created by RoyOMartin Chairman Jonathan E. Martin and his wife, Maggie, in memory of Brenda Hall Abney, who passed away in 2005 from a rare form of breast cancer. Brenda grew up in the LBCH in Monroe and attended Louisiana College, where she was figuratively adopted by Jonathan and Maggie in 1983. Over the years, more than $1.8 million has been raised from the tournaments to support LBCH, a nonprofit dedicated to serving children and families in need since 1899. Donations have been put toward programming and facility upgrades and additions at LBCH.
